I saw someone tweet that if a pastor doesnโ€™t spend 15 hours a week writing their sermon, people should leave.

It ranked up there with one of the dumbest tweets I have seen in awhile.

Obviously I havenโ€™t been on Twitter much lately.

Actor @KirkCameron platformed disgraced pastor @jamesmacdonald on a recent episode of @TakeawaysOnTBN. MacDonald was fired from @HarvestBible1, following many reports of bullying, deception & financial misconduct. But Cameron mentioned none of that.

Teaching theology courses is fun. Keeping complex issues accessible is very challenging, but largely why I think the concept of pastor-theologian is such an important role w/in the Church.

Iโ€™m extremely grateful for the handful of women and men who have demonstrated this for me.

One of the proudest moments I have in life is seeing how strong my daughters are. Manโ€ฆ they are so strong and courageous and fiery! May the Lord continue to work his grace into their lives!
