Luke T. Geraty

Husband, father, pastor-theologian, cultural critic, writer, story teller, & lover of books! I also like art, food, and good beverages.

A jack-of-all-trades moonlighting as a story teller.

Theology for the public square.

It’s hard to pin me down as one thing, largely due to my Enneagram 7 status. First and foremost I am a follower of Jesus who is trying my best to live a life grounded in love. I have been married to my best friend, Dawn, for over nineteen years and together we have five beautiful children.

I love Jesus, Scripture, theology, and find the bulk of my passion intersecting in ecclesiology, missional theology & praxis, pneumatology, and sacramentality. Plus I’m constantly thinking about how these things relate to discipleship. I also love books.

My educational background is a Bachelor of Theology (ThB), Master of Divinity (MDiv), and MA (Master of Arts in Evangelical & Charismatic Studies). I’ve dabbled in post-graduate studies and have gone back and forth about finishing a PhD but I’m trying to figure out if I’d rather take up gardening. I also have certification as a missional coach and have .

Vocationally I support my family by serving as a Co-Lead Pastor at the Red Bluff Vineyard. In my “space time,” I take people on fly fishing guided trips with Confluence Outfitters, provide coaching and consulting for churches and church leaders, and have an interest in making videos.

I also spent about six years of my life as a “full time rapper” making underground hip hop music. I was fortunate to tour most of the United States and have performed in parts of Europe and eastern Africa. I also collect records and made a lot of beats. You can listen to a lot of my older music here, but don’t judge me.

Basically this website is where I write biblical theology, share thoughts on leadership and church things, and pretty much whatever else is on my mind. All posts and and thoughts are my own and not representative of any of the organizations that I work with.

Theological reflection…

I’m convinced that theology matters because I believe that ideas have consequences, both good and bad. What we think about God impacts the way we view ourselves, the way we view other people, and how we live our lives.

Media solutions…

Social media can be really confusing for businesses and organizations, not to mention to the common leader. I help people figure out how to build and maintain community and awareness through numerous platforms. Hit me up if you have questions about how I can help you get your message out!
