I’m sure you’ve read something in the Bible that surprised you. Perhaps you even couldn’t believe what you found. Tonight I came upon a verse that I had completely forgotten about, a verse that I plan to keep in the back of my mind for a long time. Next time you are feeling the need to grill, remember the following:
“When the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as he has promised you, and you say, ‘I will eat meat,’ because you crave meat, you may eat meat whenever you desire.” (Deut. 12:20)
Seriously, what a great verse. God actually told the Israelites, “you may eat meat whenever you desire.” Think about that. God actually gave them the green light to consume porterhouse steaks cooked medium rare with shredded Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and butter. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

I was thinking about becoming a vegetarian; but you talked me out of it.
